Flavia de Luce…play if you dare!

We received a mysterious package in the mail today. Further inspection revealed a murder mystery game based on the Flavia de Luce mystery series. If you haven’t discovered these terrifically fun reads, call or email us immediately and we’ll fill you in. In the meantime; the first to comment on this blog wins the game!

The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie

It’s early 1950’s in rural Britain and Flavia de Luce in on the loose! When she takes it upon herself to free her father from jail where he’s being held on suspicion of murder, the youngest daughter of the Colonel of Buckshaw unleashes her formidable detective skills upon the hamlet of Bishop’s Lacey. Did we mention she’s twelve? And a brilliant chemist with a penchant for poison? The first in a new series from debut author Alan Bradley, this is a smart and delightful mystery. What will she think of next?

The Weed That Strings the Hangman’s Bag

Flavia is back and better than ever. Peddling the lanes of Haworth and its environs on Gladys, her trusty bicycle, our young sleuth is involved, once again, in murder most mysterious. This time it involves a strange puppeteer and his sadly strange assistant, Nialla. All of our favorite characters return, including the spiteful De Luce sisters, Ophelia and Daphne. Flavia is at the height of her powers, chemically speaking, however and Feely better watch out!

I have read the first book, and have yet to read the second. I enjoyed the first book, except the ending! I think that the ending was way too predictable.

A friend just received a package containing Flavia Deluce mystery game. She hadn’t ordered it, doesn’t know why she got it, there was no bill attached. I can’t find anything on the internet about the game.
Any suggestions? Now I have to read the books, at once! Sound fascinating.

    Lucky! That would’ve been fun.

This is very painful, considering how much I love the book.

How can one get one of these mystery games? My book club will be discussing Sweetness and I would love to play the game too.
