Young Adult Recommends: Princess of Thorns

Princess of Thorns
by Stacey Jay

9780385743228A fresh new twist to the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. Princess Aurora disguises herself as a boy so she can raise an army and rescue her brother. Prince Niklaas searches for a bride in order to escape the curse that has taken the lives of his older brothers. Together, prince and princess must stop an ogre prophecy from being fulfilled or all human life will perish. I really enjoyed Princess of Thorns. There was never a dull moment while reading, and it has the perfect blend of magic, adventure, romance, and a fairy tale happily-ever-after.
